Animal husbandry is a recurring element of the Farming Simulator series [1]. FS22 is no different - there is a wide variety of livestock available. Players can build pens, sties and sheds for livestock, process animal products such as wool and milk, spread slurry and manure, and sell livestock for a profit.

Overview[]
Animal husbandry can be an expensive style of farming to establish - sheds and sties are large monetary investments. Additionally, animals such as sheep, cows, pigs and horses will require the use of transport trailers, or the player will have to pay a transport fee to move livestock from the yard to their shed. Animals require large amounts of feed to be productive, and the crops required varies between animals.
In terms of advantages, the plainest is that they make your farm more lively, and diversify your farming experience and income streams. Animals are productive all year round, giving players things to do during the winter months. Animals generate income not only with their growth and reproduction, but also with products like wool and milk, which can be sold or processed further for additional income. Cows and pigs produce slurry and manure, two types of cheap, organic fertiliser. Horses can be trained and ridden, allowing for increased map mobility. Additionally, bees can increase the yield of some crops if their hives are nearby.
