Farming Simulator 2009 (or Farming Simulator 09) the second game in the Farming Simulator series released by Giants Software.
The game's newest features were new crops (Canola, Barley, Corn) and the introduction of the Pöttinger brand. It has simple and casual gameplay, and the game looks somewhat similar graphically and gameplay-wise to the next game in the series, Farming Simulator 2011.

The game was released on March 30th 2009, being a game with mixed reviews around release. The publisher for Farming Simulator 2009 in the UK was Astragon software, but in North America it was published by Tri Synergy, Inc, and also released in Germany.

Farming Simulator 2009: Gold Edition was released at an unknown time around early 2010. It was a direct upgrade from the normal game, including some new implements to work with.
