Hello. Perhaps you can help us with something. For the past few years we've had an inordinately large number of anonymous users vandalizing our articles - at least inordinate compared to some other Wikis I've administrated. Could there be any specific reason why they are attracted to this Wiki? Is there any step we could take to reduce this, other than just blocking each anonymous user after the fact (as I've been doing for years)? Thanks in advance.
I don't know why they would be targeting this wiki specifically, I suppose it could be one of a great many variables.
If you believe the anonymous editors are more bad than good, you could enable the "Require all contributors to log in" setting in Special:WikiFeatures. This will only allow users with registered accounts to make edits.
Yes it would. However, as soon as this wiki migrates to the UCP, anonymous users will no longer be able to use comments anyway, as the new comments will use the same Feeds platform as Discussions which doesn't allow anonymous editing.
Hey Headrock! I'm Emptylord, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for Farming Simulator Wiki. I introduced myself on your Boards, but just wanted to drop you a message personally since you're one of the more active editors around here. Basically, if you have any questions relating to the wiki, I hope to be your first point of contact.
It has come to my attention that there are some pages about Farming Simulator 17 on the wiki that need a bit of an overhaul, like the controls page (which I restarted but is unfinished) and the page on forestry. I know that you are very busy co-managing the wiki and with your own life, but I just wanted to say something about it. I hope that these pages can receive some well-deserved TLC and editing from someone somewhere.
Yeah, I haven't done anything much except policing the Wiki for vandalism. I haven't actually played the game in ages either - will probably start making articles for FS19 at some point. It's unlikely that I'll go back to FS17. If you find that something is missing, I encourage you to write it yourself - this is an open Wiki, after all.
Hello. As you may know, FANDOM is gradually working toward retiring the Forum feature found at Special:Forum. Forum content will be migrated into Discussions. Since your Forum has not had any notable activity in the last year, its content will be migrated to Discussions in the coming weeks. Please see this help page for more information about the migration process, and let me know if you have any questions.
Hey. I removed the redlink on that page because the link already existed in the first section of the article; wiki policy usually dictates that a link appear once. If that isn't the case here, then fine. I'm doing a vehicle list for FS 2011; if you want to help out, I'd like it. :)
I'm into Grain Headers now, so it's boring as f*** :D
Forage Harvesters are going to be a welcome change after this.
By the way, I've noticed that you've put "Advantages" and "Disadvantages" into the Brand articles. Are you sure it's even possible to generalize about brands? Eager to see where you're headed with that.
Also, what do you think about the new icons I've used in the Headers article? I've put them in templates, to make them really easy to use. Do you think we should use these sorts of icons on other tables too?
Actually it turns out that some brands follow a general rule on equipment. Case IH tractors are all cheaper per day and more horsepower for the price for example. If I cant find a trend I wont include it
I saw the changed you've just made to Case IH. I've got a recommendation: Split the advantages and disadvantages into subsections for different types of equipment. And consider reducing the amount of bold text somehow. Otherwise, I hope it keeps being this easy for you with other brands :)
Yeah I'm never sure what gets inherited from where. If you could edit one of my tables and get it to work like that, I'll make sure to use that particular table as a template from now on. Can't be bothered right now to go back and fix all the one's I've already done. :P
Hey, if you've got a moment, could you read the three sections on Harvesting Header Categories and tell me if you can understand what it says? I've struggled real hard trying to explain it, and I'm not sure I've managed to make it clear.
