The Pöttinger Mex 5 is a piece of equipment available in Farming Simulator 15. It is a harvesting header for tractors, which is used to chaff corn.
The Mex 5 does not attach to any of the stock Harvesters. It only has a Three-point hitch, and can only work when attached to the front side of a tractor (note that a few tractors do not have such a hitch at the front).
The Mex 5 has no storage capacity of its own, so in order to harvest chaff from corn, it must be able to dump the chaff immediately and continuously. Therefore, a Tipper Trailer must be attached to the rear of the tractor, otherwise harvesting will not be possible at all. Furthermore, the pipe on the Mex 5 must be extended at all times during the harvesting, so that it can dump the chaff directly into the tipper.
